In modern Western society, the color green tends to be most commonly associated with nature and the “green” movement towards environmental sustainability. The word itself is closely related to an Old English verb meaning “to grow”, and thanks to it’s connection to nature, green symbolizes life, well being and abundance as well as growth, regeneration and rebirth. It denotes balance, harmony and stability and is often associated with innovation and forward movement, as in the green light.
Greening HR applies these concepts to the field of Human Resources and brings them into client organizations through our consulting work. When clients engage us, they seek to create organizational change, whether it is introducing new talent practices or evolving existing ways of operating to enable continued growth and prosperity. We collaborate to create custom solutions that build upon a foundation of internal and external best practices and yet push the boundary of what can be accomplished through the HR function. A high emphasis is placed on building internal capability and measuring and tracking results to ensure long term sustainability.
